Aisha Frances Dumbuya, an 18-year-old who was rescued recently by prominent Nigerian activist and social media influencer, VeryDarkman, has safely returned home. Aisha was among ten women deceived into traveling to Nigeria with promises of Nollywood roles and educational opportunities, only to be trafficked.
After being rescued by VeryDarkman, Aisha was provided with an iPhone and her transportation fare back to Freetown. She has now arrived in Sierra Leone. In an exclusive media interview with EyeWitnessNews, Aisha humbly appealed to the public for forgiveness, considering her situation a mistake. She shared that she has secured enrolment at Unimak University to study Political Science but urgently needs assistance with her tuition fees and accommodation.
Aisha has also expressed her commitment to raising awareness among youth about the dangers of risky migration. If you wish to support her, please reach out to her mother at the following contact number +232 73 752763.
