After the June 24 elections, Julius Maada Bio was declared winner with 56% of the vote, which the APC party claims was stolen. They have called for a rerun of the elections and demanded that the Electoral Commissioner and his team resign. Additionally, the APC party announced that it will not participate in government. Meanwhile, members of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party were sworn in as new members of parliament on Thursday.

In an interview with the national broadcaster following his swearing-in ceremony, Bangura said taking the oath of office is his constitutional right and he has committed no wrongdoing. In response to a question about the potential consequences of defying the party, he confidently replied, “I am ready for anything.”

In the recent elections, the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party secured 81 seats, while the opposition All People’s Congress won 54 out of the total 135 seats.

On Wednesday, the United States Ambassador to Sierra Leone, David Reimer, urged the All People’s Congress (APC) not to boycott the government in a Tweet, but the party refused to budge. The APC believed that their boycott was necessary to make a statement and ensure that the voices of those who voted for the opposition were heard. They maintained their position, defying the calls to participate in the government.

Hon. Mohamed Bangura has the country at hearts, and he is right to serve the nation, his country Sierra Leone. Mohamed was selected by the APC party to represent the people Sierra Leone in Parliament. The party has confidence in him that he will not betray his people. The country comes first and the party is a secondary gaurantor.

In a fast forward situation we are seeing the leaders of the APC (the old fool) leading the party to loose the credibility as a main party or opposition in Sierra Leone.
APC is acting like a child who always cry when they loose or shay even when they win blaming others for their misfortune.
This is the time for them to stand farm, work as one in government and prove their strength as a strong and united party that will fight a loosing battle later in good sprite.
Remember the young generation will soon start alining with other party as the main opposition to voice their messages instead of you because you’re not in government.
Have a look at the new SLPP and learn how it important to include feature leaders in government earlyer.
    Please APC don’t DOOM yourself
