Dot Bleu, a certified express air courier and air cargo company, recently donated Le10,000 (Ten thousand Leones) to the Muslim Journalists’ Annual Iftar program. The donation was presented to representatives of the Muslim Journalists at their office on Wallace Johnson Street.
The Managing Director of Dot Bleu Godman Daves expressed the company’s pleasure in supporting the program and its desire to collaborate with the media in Sierra Leone. Journalist and Coordinator for the Iftar program, Murtala Mohamed Kamara, expressed gratitude for the donation and highlighted the significance of the support. Mohamed Fajah Barrie also extended thanks to Dot Bleu for their contribution.
Speaking at the Iftar program, which was broadcast live on AYV and SLBC TV, Dot Bleu’s Managing Director, Godman Daves, emphasized the company’s commitment to connecting the Sierra Leonean community with the United States. He invited individuals to visit their office on 17 Wallace Johnson Street for further information on services such as sending prayer day clothes or other items to the United States.
This year, the Iftar program was hosted at the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) forecourt. The event, which marks the 10th year of the Muslim Journalist Iftar program, featured a lecture on the theme “Ramadan in the Digital Age” delivered by Sheikh Omar Farouk Adam Bah. Attendees included members of the Muslim communities, the Director General and his Deputy from SLBC, as well as renowned journalist Umaru Fofana, among others.
