Filming has wrapped up for the pilot of the Busmates Salone Reality TV Show. The pilot, produced by SaloneAdventures, Prime International Productions and supported by Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire, was shot from Towerhill through Central Freetown and York in the Peninsula area.
The production brought together skilled actors, a talented film crew, and experts in sound and lighting. The pilot episode will highlight the beauty of Sierra Leone’s tourism offerings.
Busmates Salone is a unique reality TV show showcasing Sierra Leone’s rich culture, history, tourist sites, cuisine, fashion, and music. Presented by SaloneAdventures and Prime International Productions and airing on AYV TV on DSTV, the show is designed to promote Sierra Leone as a top tourist destination.
The show’s format allows individuals aged 18 to 55 to register as contestants by purchasing forms. Auditions will select 2 participants from each district to represent their region. Contestants will travel on a bus emblazoned with Sierra Leone’s colours and sponsor logos, journeying across all 16 districts.
Along the way, participants will be tested on Sierra Leonean history and culture, completing tasks to earn points. Each contestant will be a tour guide in their district, showcasing its unique history, culture, and attractions. Points will be awarded for the best presentations and hospitality.
Prizes include a cash award of Le25,000 for the winner and a brand ambassador opportunity, with a Le15,000 prize for the runner-up. Distinctions will also be given for the Most Hospitable District and the district with the best-maintained tourist sites.
Contestants can purchase registration forms for Le250 at specified locations nationwide, with mobile money payment options available. Details about auditions and registration will be shared with the public soon.
