Thelia Production organizers of the yearly Mobile and Digital Economy Summit and Expo presents the AfriTech Awards to recognize and celebrate Individuals, Government Ministries and Agencies, Corporate and Religious Organizations employing Mobile, Digital and Technology platforms for their operations and services in Africa.
The AfriTech Awards evolved from the Sierra Tech Awards after four consistent successful years of creating a unique platform that annually identifying and celebrating Organizations and Individuals who continue to strive in providing products and services to the general populace in a bid to bridge the digital divide between Africa and the advanced economies employing technology.
The team has decided to now take this awards and recognition to a regional level by including other African Countries so we can also create opportunities for networking and collaborations between economies within the region.

Why choosing to host the regional event in the Gambia?
The Gambia because of its population size has always been marginalized despite having great minds and technologically sound professionals.
Hosting this event in the Gambia will help throw light on these great minds and their works to a larger sphere of influence and create new synergies which hopefully can produce new markets and further enrich the African continent in tech exchange ventures.
