A partial cabinet has been announced in President Julius Maada Bio’s new five-year mandate, which includes new ministers.. The announcement was made by Sierra Leone Broadcasting Service Director General Joseph Egbinda Kapuwa. Previously the Minister of Basic Education, David Sengeh has been appointed Chief Minister. Timothy Musa Kabba, previously the Minister of Mines, has now been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Haja Ramatulaye Wurie takes over as the new minister of Higher Education. There is not much known about Wurie. A new minister for the Trade Ministry has been appointed, Ibrahim Alpha Sesay. Brima Swarray, formerly the head of procurement, has been appointed Commissioner General National Revenue Authority (NRA). It is unclear whether former Foreign Minister David Francis and his Deputy Mamady Gobeh Kamara will be reassigned. Further ministerial appointments are expected, including the Information Ministry, Lands etc
