As part of efforts to promote education and support school-going children, ICONA London, in partnership with Marian’s Foundation, has donated 100 school bags to pupils of the SDA Primary School in Waterloo.
The initiative supports young learners as part of the organizations’ commitment. It targets children facing challenging circumstances and urges them to remain focused on education and their future goals.
During the presentation ceremony, the Principal of SDA Primary School, Mr. Senesi, expressed gratitude. He thanked ICONA London and Marian’s Foundation for extending support to the school and its pupils.
He highlighted the importance of providing basic educational materials to children. Some pupils face difficult circumstances. These include limited parental and financial support.
According to Mr. Senesi, providing essential school materials can help ease some of these challenges while motivating pupils to take their education more seriously, especially as they prepare for their upcoming examinations.
As a result, he expressed hope that the donation would begin sustained support. This would foster collaboration between the school, ICONA London, and Marian’s Foundation.
Addressing the pupils, Marian, CEO of Marian’s Foundation, encouraged them to remain focused, disciplined and committed to their studies regardless of the challenges they may face.
She urged the children to work hard toward achieving their academic goals. She pledged to explore opportunities that would let her foundation provide additional pupil support. This would foster a more positive learning environment.
Representing ICONA London at the presentation, Digital Marketing Manager Mohamed Fofanah reaffirmed the company’s commitment to education and the development of young people.
“ICONA London is always proud to support school-going pupils, and we will continue to strengthen our support as long as children in the Waterloo community continue to believe in the value of education,” Fofanah said.
He encouraged the pupils to take their studies seriously, describing education as one of the most important tools for overcoming social and economic challenges and creating opportunities for a better future.
Fofanah also urged the children not to allow their present circumstances, backgrounds or the opinions of others to determine how far they can go in life.
He reminded them that determination, discipline, self-belief, and hard work help them pursue ambitions. They can build a future beyond today’s challenges they may be experiencing.
Donating 100 school bags demonstrates a collaborative effort among stakeholders. Partnerships include businesses, charitable groups, schools, and communities. Together, they expand educational opportunities for children.
