The founder of SaloneAdventures, a travel and tour operator company in Sierra Leone, made a pitch for Sierra Leone on popular Wode Maya’s Facebook live.
Murtala Mohamed Kamara, who appeared on Wode Maya’s Facebook Live on Saturday at the Lumley beach, said: “This place is paradise, we want the world to come and experience Sierra Leone. Look at the beaches, you can only find these in the Caribbean.”
Kamara, who met Wode Maya at the Lumley beach during his usual weekend exercise routine, welcomed Wode Maya to Sierra Leone. He commended Maya for changing the narratives about Africa one country at a time. He introduced the work he is doing through SaloneAdventures; the Road Trip to Ghana, promoting Africa’s tourism, the West Africa Social Media Awards, recognizing and rewarding individuals and institutions making good use of social media. He also discussed the possibilities of having Maya at this year’s event in The Gambia.
During their walk, Maya shared his contact information for further discussion. Mustapha Nj’ai, a Gambian real estate developer, was also present.
